I’m really not a big fan of the current sporty trend in fashion. I’m never the trainers-and-beanie style. I personally hate running plus I don’t go to gym often. If I’m asked to pick any item I like that represents the sport trend, I would definitely say it’s sweatshirt.
One thing I like the most about sweatshirts is the simplicity. Usually words, slogan or logos printed right at the centre. Bold & simple. It represents the owner. Whenever I walk on streets and see people wearing sweatshirts, I believe the owners must have seen those sweatshirts while shopping, thinking “Ah-ha! that’s totally me!” and then ended up getting them back home.
I still remember the first time I fell in love with sweater was when I saw this sweatshirt that adopts a song title of the Korean singer, G Dragon.
Recently I discovered a brand – Giuseppe Zanotti. I love its neat, classy and sophisticated designs for shoes and clutches. The followings are definately on my dream list 🙂
Till next time : )
I’ve always loved Need Supply Co.’s minimal and boyish style, without any unnecessary detail. Their products are mostly in black, white & neutral and make styling effortless.
Discovered a brand Triangl selling pretty nice swimwear. I love the geometrical, kinda-sporty designs!
Their lingerie line is quite nice too!
I can’t wait for summer to come! Although the weather in uk currently sucks. It rains. And hails. Ugh.
PS. One of their models Lisa Hamilton owns a nice blog, See Want Shop. She blogs about style, beauty, health & inspiration. Check it out!
Yiqing Yin, immigrated from China to Paris at 4 years old, Her collections was first shown during the Haute Couture Fashion Week 2012 in Paris.
Inspired by the nature, the moon, the sky, the water, the light, she sees the dynamic potentials of pleats and imagines all sorts of structures & shapes. She has an aim to create a garment that protects and reinforces, being at the same time a second skin. She constructs, with the pecfect balance between flowing and sculpting. She never make sketches. She creates with intuition and sensory.

Lastly, here is Yiqing Yin’s story from the ABSOLUT Transform Today ad campaign
” It’s important for my creativity to always be confronted, because that’s when transformation is possible. When you take that step to meet the unknown, to connect. You have to believe in yourself, and always challenge the conventions. Never get comfortable. That’s the real magic of transformation. “ – Yiqing Yin
PS. just gave my blog a makeover! What do you think about the new look? Btw check out my instagram which is flooded with food ’cause I’m a total foodie 🙂
Haven’t been updating for ages. Apologise to my lovely followers.
I was so busy with my coursework and countless deadlines. My Xmas vacation just ended and it was great 🙂 I didn’t do much but hangout with my friends, searched for new/popular restaurants all around Hong Kong. Also got to spend more time with my family and cook for them! My holiday was filled with food.. and tons of food!
Hong Kong is seriously a food paradise 🙂
Okay that’s all for the updates of my life. I’m going to announce sth now! From now on, I’ll do some posts (usually on a Monday) on some new launched brands or brands that I just come across with.
Recently I’m really into minimalist style. Black and White. Metallic. Simple two-toned design is simply perfect.
A must-have item for this spring/summer is definitely heeled sandals w/ ankle straps! With all the different textures (croc, leather, suede, plastic, lace, etc.) or other small details (like embellished, studs, zips, cut-outs, etc.), they simply go with any style. Whether you want to be sporty, chic, sophisticated, edgy, flamboyant, attention-seeking, etc etc, strap sandals make it effortless to match the outfit.
Different from the floral-and-refreshing feeling that Spring usually give us, many designers or brands like Rag & Bone, Chloe, Zara presented varying choices of chunky-heeled sandals. Style with oversized blazer/cardigan and boyfriend jeans, you can have a more boyish look. Want to be sporty? Wear them with caps or baseball jacket. Try to pair the strap wedges with jumpsuits to create a more edgy and neat style.
There are also other options for spring/summer lovers who adore different colours!
Okay. Firstly, I know I’ve been abandoning this blog for ages. (╥﹏╥)
Argh! I always swear to myself that I’ll blog more regularly but somehow I’m always so busy with school stuffs and other stuffs blah blah blah. I know they are excuses I KNOW. I always have things that I want to share but you know what? It really takes a long time for me to finish a post ’cause this isn’t like twitter to me. I don’t just type a few words, add a photo and then press enter. This is a place where I share little pieces of my life and I take it seriously. I usually do lots of research before I type every single post, especially posts about fashion. And if you have read my first ever post on this blog (just in case you didn’t, it’s here), one of the purposes of having sweet little paradise is to train my English writing skills, so I also spend a lot of time on proofreading and checking vocabs. So okay, anyway, here I am posting things again \(´▽`)/ ”
I was doing online shopping again while reading others’ blogs, as usual, and then I come across with this very unique brand, RIANNA PHILLIPS. Her career began as a freelance print designer and she designs her very original digital prints. Her own luxury label was launched in 2011. I immediately fell in love with the pastel, contrasting colours.
This summer I attended a voluntary project and it’s finally over last week! I have more spare time now for the rest of my summer vacation, so I spent an afternoon with Hilary, who has been my friend for 11 years since primary school 🙂 And we went playing with Purikura (sticker photo machine in Japanese)!
Erm sorry for the low quality of the picture ’cause it took it with my phone, under the high pressure of time limit for editing the sticker photos especially when I don’t know any Japanese (ﾟД ﾟ;)
I’ve always love sticker photos, as I get to draw or add whatever I want and each of them are personally designed by me & my friends! One of the greatest inventions for kidults like me!
And look what I got!
The cutest thing of Purikura is that you’ll get a small present if you win a mini game on the touch screen while waiting for your sticker photos! The packing is a really cute match box, and inside there are some heart-shaped cotton pads and a plaster with pink baroque prints.
And then I allowed myself to continue my journey of gaining weight. Actually it’s not that bad. After a few hours of shopping and wandering around I’m pretty sure I lost SOME weight, right?
As I always say, shopping is definitely the best sport ∩(￣∀￣ )∩
